Fifteen historic WWII-era Douglas DC-3 and C-47 aircraft from across the United States comprise the founding fleet of the D-Day Squadron and today's DC-3 Society.
In 2019, these legendary aircraft retraced the path of the Greatest Generation, returning to Europe to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of D-Day and the 70th Anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. Together, they continue to serve as flying museums—honoring the men and women who flew, maintained, and depended on them while inspiring future generations through living history.
Click below to explore the 15 founding aircraft and the dedicated operators who helped launch the DC-3 Society in 2020.
